Life Span?

Greetings.

We have an eastern king snake (known affectionatly as "Babs" and just found out that she's about 17 years old.

Anyone have any idea what their lifespan is? As she gets older, I want to make sure that her "geriatric" needs are met.

Va Beach, VA Eastern Kings - sexual pair.
I selected this pair from a clutch of 12 or so last summer.
The female was the runt of the clutch but had a killer pattern - when I brought her home she was too small to even eat a pinky mouse.
I worked with her by feeding her pinky parts, skink tails, and pieces of worm snakes and now she is a voracious fuzzy mouse eater.
The male has been a great eater from the start and is a little larger.

Yearling female Eastern King from Currituck County, NC.
This snake hatched last summer and is "F1" from a mating by wild-caught adults.
She is well established and eats peach-fuzzy mice. Pictures taken today - Saturday, August 2, 2008.

2. Only natural color phased snakes for sale --- NO MORPHS such as amelanistic, bubblegum, or striped phases. Take that junk to you know where - the big snake classified site.
3. NO HYBRID snakes for sale.
4. No boids or pythons for sale.
5. No venomous snakes for sale.

Pasquotank Eastern Kings (aka South Dismal Swamp Kings)

Ryan caught 9 Eastern Kings in Pasquotank and I caught one. Mine is one of the small females below. If you search the Great Dismal Swamp you'll learn that it runs right into Pasquotank County. Since Pasquotank County is just a political boundary it might be more accurate to call them "Great Dismal Swamp Kings" ???

I found a great herping spot in the Great Dismal Swamp in early April. I pointed it out to Phil and he got to check it out in late April. He found this awesome male Eastern King there!
